Nuclear application data (processed libraries and tools)

In order to support the distribution and best use of the various evaluated nuclear data libraries, the NEA promotes the exchange of information on processed libraries, pre-processing and processing codes. The NEA also provides a framework for the processing of evaluated nuclear data through its nuclear data services. New libraries are always being sought and added to this listing. Available application data libraries are listed below, along with links to useful processing tools.

Application data based on JEFF 3.1.1

Data processed with NJOY99.259 [NJOY-99, NJOY99_up256] in ACE format. The library was prepared by Oscar Cabellos for the general purpose and thermal scattering libraries. Date: February 2009.

  • ACE files with graphs and documentation from the quality assurance procedure.
  • Independent ACE libraries at 300K for the General purpose file and additional temperatures for Thermal scattering data

Application data based on JEFF 3.1

Data processed with NJOY-99.90+patches in ACE format.

The library was prepared by Oscar Cabellos for the general purpose and thermal scattering libraries. Updates are also available.

Nuclear data communities

The main evaluated nuclear data libraries in the world (JEFF, ENDF/B, JENDL, BROND, CENDL, FENDL) are collaborating under the NEA Working Party on International Nuclear Data Evaluation Co-operation (WPEC). The NEA gathers mainly European evaluators twice per year to discuss the progress in the Joint European Fission and Fusion (JEFF) project. The Cross Section Evaluation Working Group (CSEWG) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), NY, USA is meeting annually to discuss the main evaluated nuclear data format (ENDF-6) and progress in the ENDF/B project.
