Nuclear safety

Four meetings were held recently in the field of accident analysis and management. More information is available here.

Regular features

Radiation protection

The second NEA-International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) Forum will be held in April 2003. The forum's Programme Committee met in September 2002 to define the themes, objectives and format of the forum. The three radiation protection expert groups that also met during September 2002 discussed, for the most part, different aspects of the NEA's preparations for this forum. More information is available at: www.oecd-nea.org/02-10-rp.html.

Legal affairs

The second session of the International School of Nuclear Law (ISNL), a programme jointly organised by the NEA and the University of Montpellier 1, took place on 26 August - 7 September 2002 in Montpellier. More information is available at: www.oecd-nea.org/02-10-leg.html.

Nuclear science

The Working Party on Nuclear Criticality Safety and some of its associated expert groups held their annual meetings at NEA headquarters on 9-12 September 2002. More information is available at: www.oecd-nea.org/02-10-nsc.html.

The NEA High Priority Request List (HPRL) for nuclear data is now available as a searchable database at: www.oecd-nea.org/dbdata/hprl/. This database offers an advanced search facility as well as links to each chapter and section. The complete HPRL can be downloaded in HTML or PDF format; users are invited to make comments on specific items.

The Seventh International Conference on Nuclear Criticality Safety will be held in Japan on 20-24 October 2003. More information is available at: http://nucefwww.tokai.jaeri.go.jp/icnc2003/.
