A Literature Survey on Markers and Memory Preservation for Deep Geological Repositories

This study was originally commissioned by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy between 2008 and 2010. The intention was to investigate the state of the art on marking with a view to learning lessons for geological repositories. The Preservation of Records, Knowledge and Memory (RK&M) across Generations project of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) found that providing such a study to a wider, and not only German-speaking audience, could be very useful, and offered the platform for the publication of the English translation.
