The NEST Awards aims to recognise NEST Fellows who have demonstrated excellence throughout their fellowships. Fellows have the chance to compete for prizes through showcasing their work and presenting original ideas and solutions to the challenges facing nuclear energy today.
A panel of experts (the NEST Jury) will review written applications and select up to 20 NEST Fellows to travel to Paris for two days to attend site visits and the NEST Awards. Of those 20 Fellows, 10 will be selected to give presentations and compete for prizes at the Awards.
Day one (5 November) will involve site visits, including to the World Nuclear Exhibition. This will provide Fellows the opportunity to network with industry leaders, explore cutting-edge technologies, access career and internship prospects, and engage in global discussions on the future of nuclear energy.
On day two (6 November) the competition will take place at the Nuclear Energy Agency headquarters. 10 NEST Fellows will deliver their presentations and the NEST Jury will deliberate and award 3 cash prizes based on originality, significance, and their relevance to the NEST mission. The event will conclude with a networking reception.
The competition is open globally to current and past NEST Fellows who have participated in, or are currently participating in, a NEST Project.
