The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) and the Kenyan Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA) co-hosted a webinar on nuclear energy, bringing together international nuclear expertise and local perspectives on how to enhance stakeholder awareness on nuclear energy technology and its socio-economic benefits, while also addressing common misconceptions and concerns.

Informed participation in the decision-making process and stakeholder engagement, through transparent, open and informed dialogue, are prerequisites for the successful implementation of nuclear energy programmes. As Kenya progresses towards the development of a nuclear energy programme, public education and awareness are essential to enhance the understanding of nuclear energy in the country.
