The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), in partnership with US organisations including Argonne National Laboratory, the DOE, EPRI and NRC, held the Workshop on Future Research for Accident Management Enhancement (FRAME) on 26–27 September 2024 at Argonne National Laboratory.

As several NEA research projects that began after the Fukushima Daiichi accident neared completion in 2025, FRAME aimed to define priorities for sustaining key experimental infrastructure, addressing emerging safety challenges, and guiding future research. The workshop brought together regulators, industry, and research experts to identify practical needs and shape a strategic path forward for research to continue enhancing accident management in both current and advanced reactor systems.
