The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) has released the edition 4.0 of the NEA Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Digital Dashboard.
This latest edition reflects the evolving landscape of small and micro modular reactors (MMRs) and incorporates the latest global developments as of 18 May 2026. More than 120 SMR developers contributed to this edition, resulting in the addition of 26 new projects. The NEA Small Modular Reactor Digital Dashboard now tracks a total of 156 SMR and MMR projects worldwide, of which 95 are included in the dashboard.
The new version of the NEA Small Modular Reactor Digital Dashboard is available online: https://www.oecd-nea.org/smr-digital-dashboard
The NEA Small Modular Reactor Digital Dashboard provides a comprehensive assessment of the progress made by SMR projects worldwide. Looking beyond technical feasibility, the NEA Small Modular Reactor Dashboard defines criteria for assessing real progress in six dimensions of readiness: licensing, siting, financing, supply chain, engagement, and fuel. In July 2025, the NEA launched the NEA Small Modular Reactor Digital Dashboard as an interactive platform, providing users with regularly updated data and visualisations on the global development of small modular reactors.
The release of the NEA Small Modular Reactor Digital Dashboard: Fourth Edition will be followed by the publication of a dedicated report highlighting key trends and developments in SMR and MMR projects worldwide.
