The present report outlines the potential merits of R&D work carried out by the regulator. It summarises the results of a questionnaire that was circulated among the members of the Regulators' Forum of the NEA's Radioactive Waste Management Committee in 2009, and it presents the conclusions of discussions within the RWMC-RF. The detailed answers to the questionnaire are also provided. This is a draft version of the report.
