Four new expert groups were established on 10 September 2020 to operate under the umbrella of the NEA Working Party on Information, Data and Knowledge Management (WP-IDKM):

• Expert Group on a Data and Information Management Strategy for the Safety Case (EGSSC)
• Expert Group on Knowledge Management for Radioactive Waste Management Programmes and Decommissioning (EGKM)
• Expert Group on Archiving for Radioactive Waste Management Activities (EGAR)

A virtual kick-off meeting for these four expert groups was held on 15-17 September 2020 with 42 representatives from 12 NEA member countries and the European Union (EU). Meeting participants discussed priority tasks to be addressed by each of the four expert groups. Delegates who are interested in participating in the work of these expert groups should contact their national delegation regarding official nominations.
