Welcome to the official release of the JEFF-4T4 library!
JEFF-4T4 brings significant updates, particularly to Fission Products and Fission Yields. This release is an important milestone on the path to JEFF-4.0.
However, due to the complexity of the changes, we are now targeting a final release in May 2025, coinciding with the ND2025 conference.
We encourage the community to thoroughly test JEFF-4T4, especially regarding its impact on burnup performance.
Meanwhile, updates to the Major Actinides are in progress, with new files expected early next year. These will be incorporated into JEFF-4T5.
For a comprehensive overview of the changes introduced in JEFF-4T4, we invite you to refer to this spreadsheet: JEFF-4 Evolution.
It provides detailed insights into the modifications made.
Kindly be aware that the most recent official release from JEFF continues to be JEFF-3.3.
Fission Yields (FY):
JEFF-4T4 includes a new evaluation of the Pu-239 thermal neutron-induced fission yields. The U-235 evaluation has not changed, but its correlation matrices have been regularized.
Thermal Scattering Law (TSL):
Neutron induced cross sections evaluations :
Changes compared to JEFF-4T3: - All TENDL files have been replaced with the latest TENDL-2023 data, released in August 2024 - Al-27 was taken from JEFF-4T1 to preserve MF32 and MF33 - Ar-42, Ti-44,46-50, Kr-81, Nb-93m, Ag-108m, Cd-113m, Sn-121m, Pm-145,146, Eu-150, Tb-157, Dy-154, Hf-172,178n, Re-186m, Os-194, Ir-192n, Hg-194, Pb-202,210, Bi-207,210m, Ra-228, Bk-248, Es-252 were missing in JEFF-3.3 and have been taken from TENDL-2023 as they are included in the JEFF-3.3 decay data library and have half life longer than 1 year - New evaluations for Pd-108, Te-127m, Cs-134, Pm-148, Pm-148m, Pm-149, Sm-150, Eu-153, Gd-153 - W-180,182-184,186 were taken from the IAEA. Those are ENDF/B-8.0 files which include the IAEA fast evaluation (2006) and latest RRR evaluation (2013) based on Geel data - U-233: ENDF\B-VIII.1 file with JEFF-4T3 resonances and MF3/MT102 from JENDL-5 - Te-128, Am-241: new branching ratios - Minor corrections were made on many files.
